FIFG SERIES
FIBERGLASS FILTERS & SEPARATORS

FIFG-12, 24, 36, 72

The 4 1/2" Series fiberglass cartridges function in an outside to inside flow direction and are effective filter/coalescers.  The key to success is the molded fiberglass media that is constructed of glass fibers compressed into an exact density then bonded with phenolic binders that are practically inert.  The fiberglass media is the covered with a cotton outer wrap to protect it during installation of the cartridges.  This style cartridge is constructed with a heavy duty center core to withstand over 75 PSI differential pressure without collapsing.  The metal end caps are mechanically attached to the center core for structural integrity.  The Buna N gaskets are placed onto the metal end caps with an adhesive that is resistant to hydrocarbons.

FIFG-336

These 4 1/2" Series cartridges are rigidly constructed with the following features:

  • Physically interchangeable with Peco FG-336

  • Functions as filter as well as filter/coalescer utilizing molded fiberglass media constructed of graded glass fibers forming an exacting density then bonded with phenolic resin binders

  • Formed fiberglass media is supported with a spiral locked center core providing resistance to collapse up to 75 PSI differential pressure

  • A mechanical process secures the metal end caps to the center core ensuring structural integrity.  An adhesive is then applied to eliminate any product by-passing at the end of the cartridge.

  • The flow characteristics of the FIFG Series will remove particles down to one micron with minimum differential pressure.

  • Buna N gaskets are standard for this series unless otherwise specified.  All gaskets are applied with a unique heat treatment process with an adhesive that is resistance to hydrocarbon applications.

  • The fiberglass media is covered with a cotton our wrap for protections during the handling process.

FIFG-536

Fiberglass filter cartridges historically have proven to be very effective in removing particulate from dry gas.  This filter style is supported with a spiral lock center core to withstand collapse pressure up to 45 PSID and secured with metal end caps utilizing a high resistant adhesive for all hydrocarbons.  They are also available with a nominal rating of 0.5 micron.  The 0.5 micron style is identified by adding the suffix "UF" to the part number.

APPLICATIONS:

- Nominal micron ratings available are 0.5, 1, & 5

- Recommended maximum differential pressure - 15 PSI

- Maximum recommended operating temperature - 275 Degrees F

- Standard gasket material is Buna-N; Others are available

FEATURES:

The FIFG-536 Series is typically used in dry gas applications and interchangeable with the major original equipment manufacturers.
